Kristen Bole
Executive Director, Public Affairs
As executive director of Public Affairs, Kristen Bole leads the public relations team for the UCSF enterprise, including the UCSF biomedical research campus, professional and graduate schools, and UCSF Health. An award-winning business reporter and editor, Kristen joined UCSF in 2007 after nearly 20 years of experience in business journalism, executive recruiting and public relations in health and science. Her career has taken her around the world, ranging from the Peace Corps in the Central African Republic to her master’s research in Central American rain forests, to a stint at a startup business newspaper in Bangkok. Kristen holds degrees from Cornell University (BA, English) and Columbia University (MS, Journalism).
