UCSF to Celebrate 25th Annual Faculty and Staff Art Show
Community Invited to Opening Reception on September 30
Members of the community at UC San Francisco are invited to celebrate the artistic endeavors of faculty and staff during the 25th Annual Faculty and Staff Art Show.
The opening night reception is slated for Monday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Millberry Union Event and Meeting Center, 500 Parnassus Ave. The art show is free and open to the public.
Viewing times are Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Thursday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is produced by the Visual Arts Club at UCSF and Campus Life Services Arts & Events. It is sponsored by the Performing Arts Fund at UCSF.
Some artists will talk about their works during lunchtime sessions where light refreshments will be served. The schedule for the lunchtime talks are as follows:
- Tuesday, Oct. 1 at noon with Francine Lofrano who will discuss her fused glass art;
- Wednesday, Oct. 2 at noon with Isaac Aamora on the creative process of making art;
- Thursday, Oct. 3 at noon with Cindy Perlis, who will discuss making art and UCSF's Art for Recovery Program.
