Research Symposium to Honor Reproductive Scientist Robert Jaffe

UC San Francisco is hosting a research symposium on Saturday, April 13 to honor longtime UCSF professor Robert Jaffe, MD, a leading specialist in clinical reproductive endocrinology at the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health.

Linda Guidice, MD, PhD, chair of the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, and Marco Conti, MD, director of the UCSF Center for Reproductive Sciences, invites members of the UCSF community to the symposium from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Medical Sciences Building, 513 Parnassus Ave.

Jaffe, a professor emeritus of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences and physiology, joined the faculty at UCSF in 1973. He served as chair of the department from 1973 to 1995. Most recently, he has served as the director of the Reproductive Scientist Development Program housed at UCSF.

Jaffe has received many honors and awards, including the Distinguished Scientist Award from the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. He is a member Institute of Medicine and the Association of American Physicians.

Many of his trainees and students have gone on to distinguished careers. Four physician scientists mentored by Jaffe will preset at the symposium.
