Media Advisory: UCSF Students Offer Health Screenings at Bayview Health Fair
WHAT: Graduate students in the UCSF schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy will offer a range of complimentary health screenings during the Bayview YMCA Health & Wellness Fair this weekend. Scheduled activities include blood pressure and cholesterol screenings; blood-glucose tests to test for diabetes; patient medication consultations; dental screenings and fluoride varnish for children; and vision and body mass index (BMI) tests. Students also will provide information on nutrition and tobacco awareness. All consultations and screenings will be conducted under the oversight of professional health care providers.
