WHY:

UCSF Medical Center opened the Asian Heart &Vascular Center to address the disparity of care of these diseases in the Asian community. Over the past year, the program’s outreach has been able to promote the awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke, reaching thousands of people within the Chinese and Asian communities.
