Speaker—Louann Brizandine, MD, UCSF neuropsychiatrist and author of the book, “The Female Brain.”
Moderator—Nancy Milliken, MD, vice dean of UCSF School of Medicine and director of the UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health.
Brizendine is founder and director of the UCSF Women’s and Teen’s Mood and Hormone Clinic and is a clinical professor of psychology in the UCSF School of Medicine. “The Female Brain,” published in August 2006, was her first book. It is being translated into 19 languages. She calls the book an “owner’s manual” for women, showing how the female brain sees the world differently and reacts differently than the male brain in every stage of life from newborn to old age.
