Expert to Discuss Alzheimer's Disease

The UCSF Academic Business Officers Group (ABOG) is offering another lecture in its series Science for the Rest of Us on Wednesday, May 24.
Patrick J. Fox, MSW, PhD will present a seminar titled "From Senility to Alzheimer¹s Disease: How a Disease Emerges from Obscurity to Become a National Health Problem," at noon in Toland Hall on the UCSF Parnassus campus. Fox is a professor of sociology in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the UCSF School of Nursing and co-director of the Institute for Health & Aging. His research focuses on community-based health and social services with an emphasis on community mental health services for the elderly, Alzheimer's disease policy and economics as well as home health care policy.
