UCSF Conducts Parnassus Campus Design Survey
Campus Planning is leading an effort to develop design guidelines to improve the overall attractiveness and help guide future site improvements and new building design at the UCSF Parnassus Heights campus.
This effort is part of a larger project that will include developing a new campus master plan for the flagship campus, similar to the one for the UCSF Mission Bay campus.
The design guidelines and campus plan are mandated by the 1996 Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) and by the UC Board of Regents, who are concerned about the quality of the UC campuses and how they fit into the surrounding neighborhoods. While the design guidelines will focus on the visual aspect of the Parnassus Heights campus, they also will address the functionality of the site and usability of individual site features.
To begin this project, Campus Planning would like to hear what faculty, staff and students think about the physical appearance of the Parnassus Heights campus. The campus community is invited to complete a written questionnaire and return it to Campus Planning at Box 0286 or complete it online by the end of February.
