<p>Former UCSF medical resident and stem cell researcher Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa, MD, will return to the University to speak about his time at UCSF on October 10 as part of the University's celebration of diversity.</p>

<p>Incoming medical school students don white coats in an annual ritual marking the start of their education at UCSF, inspiring their professors, others with their dedication, dreams and diverse backgrounds.</p>
<p>The UCSF team came in third place overall in AIDS Walk San Francisco 2011 raising $55,000 in the annual event to benefit HIV/AIDS programs and services in the San Francisco Bay Area.</p>
