The events, put on by the Office of Diversity and Outreach, begin Oct. 5 and run through Oct. 24. The annual theme of the month is “Building Community at UCSF.”

“The Office of Diversity and Outreach is proud to sponsor this month of activities to advance the University’s commitment to equity and inclusion,” said Renee Navarro, MD, vice chancellor of Diversity and Outreach.

One of the highlights of the month is the Chancellor’s Diversity Awards, which will be held this year on Oct. 6.

Other happenings include lectures, a dinner for students who are the first in their families to go to college, film screenings and the 10th Annual Health Disparities Research Symposium.
