Christine Haas: Building our Campus

As the real estate and construction counsel for UCSF, UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, Christine Haas is privileged to be a key part of UCSF’s growth. She has seen a plot of land undergo transformation – to a research building, a stem cell laboratory, faculty and student housing, or a child care center. As she puts it, “every day is a good day. My job is always hectic, always worthwhile.”

Christine’s passion for UCSF is unmistakable – she even held her marriage ceremony on the roof garden of UCSF’s stem cell laboratory building. When she toured the new Medical Center at Mission Bay for the first time, she was emotional about its beauty, its innovation and its potential. In her mind, she reflected on the people the Medical Center will serve and save one day. As she so succinctly puts it, “I LOVE being a member of the UCSF community!”

We are driven by the idea that when the best research, the best education and the best patient care converge, great breakthroughs are achieved. We pursue this excellence through our people. We are all UCSF, united by a driving passion to solve the most challenging health issues of our time and to redefine what's possible. Join the conversation at www.ucsf.edu/oneUCSF.
