Ron Conway Headlines Sharecase 2013
The UCSF community is gearing up for another Sharecase 2013, the popular information technology expo, scheduled for this Friday, Nov. 8 at the Mission Bay Conference Center.
This year's keynote speaker is Ron Conway, a UCSF advocate and Silicon Valley investor, who will discuss the major trends in mobile, social and real-time data that are creating massive business opportunities and how these trends might impact the health care industry. His talk begins at 3:15 p.m.
For the past 15 years, Conway has worked closely with hundreds of startups, including Google, Facebook, Zappos, Square, Airbnb, Dropbox, Pinterest, Foursquare and Twitter. He is a member of the UCSF Medical Center Chancellor's Advisory Board and is active in fundraising for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Sam Hawgood, dean of the UCSF School of Medicine and vice chancellor of clinical affairs, will kick off Sharecase 2013 at 9 a.m. with a talk about the Clinical Enterprise Strategic Plan and IT's critical role in executing that strategy.
Sharecase, a great opportunity to network with colleagues across the University, will culminate with a happy hour huddle at the Mission Bay Pub.
