Nominations Sought for 2012 Chancellor's Service Awards

UCSF is seeking nominations for the 2012 chancellor's awards for exceptional university service and management.

The Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional University Service recognizes non-academic staff that devote time and energy supporting and serving the campus community and UCSF mission demonstrating outstanding UCSF citizenship above and beyond the scope of their job.  Selection criteria, nomination forms, and past award recipients for this award are available on the chancellor's website.
 
The Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional University Management recognizes non-academic staff who are responsible for supervising, guiding, and leading others that go above and beyond the scope of their job as outstanding “Great Managers.” Selection criteria, nomination forms, and past award recipients for this award are available on the chancellor's website. 
 
"I encourage you to nominate deserving colleagues to recognize their extraordinary service and leadership efforts that help make UCSF not only an exemplary institution but also a success in its mission to advance health worldwide," UCSF Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, MD, MPH, said. "Up to three individuals for each award may be selected and the names of award recipients will join a long list of past awardees honored on the tribute wall in the lobby of the Medical Sciences Building."
 
The award presentation will occur at the annual Founders Day Luncheon in the spring where friends, family, and co-workers will be able to join in the celebration.

Nominations must be returned either electronically to [email protected] or in hard copy to the Office of the Chancellor, S-24, Box 0402 no later than 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012.
