"UCSF's Got Talent" Competition Returns May 10
The UCSF community is invited to come cheer the top five contestants in the 2nd Annual UCSF’s Got Talent competition on May 10.
Hosted by comedian and actor Alec Mapa, finalists Zinc Finger in the Major Groove, The Vocal Chords at UCSF, Thu Ho and Sam Brondfield, Britt McClintock, and Mr. Pills & Sir Teeth Master will go head to head as they vie for the first place perpetual trophy and a $500 gift certificate to the UCSF University Store.
Check out the five finalists here.
Competititors each submitted a three-minute video highlighting their talent, with the only requirement being that the act must be able to be recreated at a live stage performance. The five finalists were chosen based on the results of the recent UCSF community vote of performances posted on YouTube.
The show will take place in the Robertson Auditorium at UCSF Mission Bay. A pre-show reception to be held from 5 to 6 p.m. will offer a chance for people to mingle, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drink specials, and to view the Mission Bay Art Show. UCSF’s talent show starts at 6 p.m.
Support and sponsorship was provided by Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF, A.P.A.S.A and the Pub at Mission Bay.
