Radkowski Appointed Director of Contracts & Grants at UCSF

John Radkowski has been appointed as director of the Contracts & Grants in the Division of the Office of Sponsored Research at UCSF.

Radkowski brings more than 16 years of experience in contract negotiation and research administration and a strong commitment to ensuring effective customer service and excellence in operations to his new role.  

He was previously manager of the Award Team in the Contracts & Grants Division of the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR), and served as the Industry Relations Manager for the Diabetes Center/Immune Tolerance Network. Prior to that role, Radkowski served as an Industry Contracts Officer in the Industry Contracts Division of the OSR.  

Before joining UCSF in 2002, Radkowksi was employed by Space Systems/Loral where he negotiated contracts and subcontracts for international government and commercial satellite programs.

In his new position, Radkowski will be responsible for oversight of proposals, awards, and outgoing subcontracts for government and non-profit sponsors. He will be working closely with the Industry Contracts Division of the OSR, the Controller's Office, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and the Committee on Human Research to promote compliance with all laws, regulations and university policies regarding research and to support continuous improvement of research administration services.
