UCSF Invites Feedback at Operational Excellence Forums

UCSF employees are invited to participate in the following Operational Excellence (OE) events coming up in March and April 2011.

UCSF is hosting "Come and Be Heard’ Sessions," which meetings are not informational but intended to solicit input from employees about their concerns, frustrations and hopes; and are designed to lead in turn to a meaningful and practical response by leadership.

These meetings provide a safe and effective conduit of information from employees to leadership about any issues of concern, including the effects of organizational changes and suggestions for how those changes can better be managed. These meetings are facilitated by Andrew Parker, a trained counselor from UCSF's Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, and anonymity is guaranteed for participants.

Upcoming sessions and locations are as follows:

  • Tuesday, March 22, from 11:30 to 1 p.m., Mount Zion campus, 2200 Post, C 126
  • Wednesday, March 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Parnassus campus, UCSF School of Nursing, N 417-423
  • Monday, April 25, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Mission Bay campus, Rock Hall 302
  • Tuesday, April 26, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Laurel Heights building, Suite 263

In addition, an OE Kick-Off Pre-Award Phase I Brown Bag meeting will be convened to announce positions that will be posted and to provide details about these new positions – the Cluster Director and Research Services Coordinators.  Additionally, UCSF will present how these positions will be filled. This meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 7, from noon to 1 p.m. on the Parnassus campus in the UCSF School of Nursing building, room N 217.
