UCSF Releases Operational Excellence Work Group Report, Supporting Documents
UCSF is making available to the UCSF community the report from the work group on how UCSF can achieve operational excellence, according to Senior Vice Chancellor John Plotts.
“It is important to note that the work group report was presented for discussion only and does not reflect decisions,” says Plotts in an email to the UCSF community.
Here is the full message from Plotts:
Dear Colleagues:
Over the last two weeks, the chancellor has been discussing the status of UCSF’s fiscal year 2010-2011 budget and the recommendations of the Operational Excellence Work Group in focus groups with department chairs and faculty from across the campus. These focus groups are providing valuable feedback.
In an effort to continue discussion, today we are making available the report [PDF] that the work group submitted to the Chancellor’s Executive Cabinet for consideration as well as the work group’s financial summary of options [PDF]. It is important to note that the work group report was presented for discussion only and does not reflect decisions. Accompanying the report is further information that is being used in our deliberations: IT Transformations Initiative Assessment, Final Presentation to the IT Steering Committee [PDF] and IT Transformations Initiative Assessment, Detailed Analysis by Scope Area [PDF].
For information on the most current direction of the project, see the Chancellor’s presentation [PDF] being used in the focus group meetings. Focus group meetings are continuing and, as previously announced, there will be a campus town hall in May to continue the dialog. The time and date of the town hall will be announced shortly.
