Update: UCSF Special Temporary Furlough Employee Emergency Loan Program
UCSF’s has created a UCSF Special Temporary Furlough Employee Emergency Loan Program for the salary reduction/furlough period, according to Mike Tyburski, director of Campus Human Resources. The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) will administer the Special Temporary Furlough Employee Emergency Loan Program.
The Special Temporary Furlough Employee Emergency Loan Program is intended to provide loan assistance to career employees with salary reductions/furloughs (that went into effect Sept. 1, 2009). These loans are available to employees who are experiencing additional financial stress causing them to need such assistance, who have an immediate need for funds as the result of an unplanned emergency, and who are unable to obtain a loan from other resources.
This loan program will be available beginning October 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010. Employees may apply beginning Oct. 1. Please note that loans cannot be concurrent. For detailed information regarding loan eligibilty and how to apply, please visit FSAP’s webpage.
