Interim Dean to Host Town Hall Meetings on August 26
Faculty and staff in the UCSF School of Medicine are invited to a town hall meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from noon to 1 p.m. in Cole Hall on the Parnassus campus.
The purpose of the town hall meeting is to answer questions about implementing the furlough and salary reduction plan at the School of Medicine.
“As you know from my last message, we have been working closely with the Chancellor’s Office and the UC Office of the President to clarify all the details for the implementation of the furlough plan approved by the UC Regents on July 16th,” Sam Hawgood, MBBS, interim dean of the UCSF School of Medicine, said in an email.
Some of the rules and regulations that will guide the implementation have been posted on the UCOP FAQ and the UCSF Furlough FAQ. However, new information continues to arrive and details of policies and procedures are still being worked out.
The School of Medicine town hall meeting will be video cast at:

The town hall also will be recorded on video and available afterwards the medical school website.
