UCSF Resource Allocation Program Offers Third Round of Grants
The Resource Allocation Program (RAP), a major campuswide grant program at UCSF for basic and clinical scientists, is ready to launch the fall 2008 funding cycle.
The deadline to submit an application for this round is Monday, September 22. A Notice of Intent is not required.
RAP, catalyzed by the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), brings together many different intramural funding programs, including the:
• Strategic Opportunities Support Center of the CTSI
• Research Evaluation and Allocation Committee of the UCSF School of Medicine
• UCSF-Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology Center for AIDS Research
• AIDS Research Institute
• Clinical Investigator Research Program of the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center
• National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health
• Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center
Under RAP, these programs now have a single application and review process.
In the last year, funding agencies that have been added to RAP include the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health. RAP continues to move closer to becoming a “one-stop shop” for intramural funding at UCSF. For specific information about these funding opportunities available for pilot studies, translational technologies and novel methods, planning grants, and career development, please go to the RAP website.
