A Sneak Peek at the Above and Beyond Gala

ABC 7 News interviewed Lynn Pulliam, MS, PhD, professor of medicine and laboratory medicine at UCSF, in a segment promoting Above & Beyond, the UCSF-affiliated Northern California Institute for Research and Education (NCIRE) gala on October 11 in support of research benefiting Iraq War veterans. The gala, to be held at the Galleria at the San Francisco Design Center, will include a wearable-art fashion show featuring scrubs, hospital garments and lab coats boldly and creatively reinterpreted by students from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and California College of the Arts; the talented aerial performers and dancers of Gregangelo and Velocity, in a show that captures the evening's theme of "Merging Science with Art"; a brief live auction; cocktails and hors d'oeuvres; and music and celebrity guests.
