New UCSF Programs Premiere on UCTV in September
September's UCTV offerings from UCSF include taped lectures from the Spring
2007 Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Mini Medical School's course "Pharmacy
102," featuring a team of expert UCSF faculty exploring questions about
breakthrough medicines, where they come from and how they contribute to longevity
and quality of life, how the FDA protects consumers from ineffective and unsafe
medicine, and how we measure the value of drug therapies, among others. Also premiering
in September are three updates on kidney transplant outcomes, therapies, and the
onset of cardiovascular disease or diabetes after transplant; and two programs
featured as part of UCTV's Women's Health Today series.
In addition to these new UCSF lectures premiering over direct broadcast satellite and cable TV, UCTV also offers a library of more than 90 UCSF programs available on demand via the Internet.
