UCSF to Host Integrative Medicine Forum

The 9th Annual UCSF Integrative Medicine Network Forum will convene on May 18 and 19 under the theme "Communicating Across Cultures of Healing." This yearly event is organized by students from the schools of pharmacy, nursing and medicine in collaboration with the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and the Chancellor's Fund. The conference will feature three keynote speakers, Marty Rossman, MD, Daphne Miller, MD, and Meir Schneider, PhD, as well as panel discussions and interactive workshops on various complementary and alternative therapies, including yoga, massage, herbal medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Breema, Native American healing and others. The cost is $30 for professionals and the general public and $20 for students. Day-of registration will be $40 and $30, respectively. The price includes three meals and attendance at all sessions, running on Friday, May 18, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The forum will be held at the UCSF Parnassus campus.
