UCSF's Paul Blanc Discusses Environmental Toxins at Home and in the Workplace
Toxins are well-recognized sources of stress on the body and we can be exposed to them in the general environment, at work and at home - perhaps a neglected place when it comes to chemical exposure.
Paul Blanc, MD, professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at UCSF, specializes in occupational and environmental health. He's recently published a book called How Everyday Products Make People Sick - Toxins At Home and in the Workplace. On Australia Radio National's The Health Report, Blanc argues that regulation is failing people at home, yet often agencies in other countries such as Australia look to the US as the key regulator in this field.
Note: The segment with Dr. Blanc begins approximately 13 minutes and 30 seconds into the broadcast.
