UCSF to Host Finance Day on April 17
Faculty and staff who want to learn how to buy a home, plan for retirement or save money, are invited to Finance Day 2007.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Millberry Union Conference Center at the Parnassus campus.
This event will provide faculty and staff with an opportunity to learn more about University-sponsored programs. Specific topics include:
* Understanding the UC Retirement Plan, the University's defined benefit plan;
* Fully utilizing UC's Retirement Saving Program;
* Preparing for future individual economic security;
* Planning for a leisurely retirement;
* Financing their children's education; and
* Buying a primary residence.
Faculty and staff will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from numerous UC-sponsored companies, ask questions, gather information and walk away more "retirement-ready" than they were before.
Sponsored by UCSF Human Resources Benefits division, the event also will have several featured presentations related to retirement readiness. Free rubber duckies while supplies last.
