Campus Hosts Valentine's Day Activities

Students, staff and faculty and their families are invited to the UCSF Exclusive Ice Skate Party at Yerba Buena Ice Skating Rink, one of several activities planned to celebrate Valentine's Day. Time is running out to buy tickets in advance of this ice skating party, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 10 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are only $12 each and include skate rental, light refreshments, and a Valentine's Day card-making workshop. Tickets may be purchased at the Millberry Union Central Desk, 500 Parnassus Ave. or downloaded from the Arts & Events website. Campus Life Services Arts & Events also is offering free Valentine's Day card-making workshops to the UCSF community. Supplies to make crafts will be supplied. Workshops are planned for today at Laurel Heights and Parnassus, from noon to 1 p.m. At Laurel Heights, the workshop will be conducted at the View, located on the second floor. On the Parnassus campus, a workshop will be held in the School of Nursing Mezzanine. Other workshops are scheduled as follows: * Mount Zion, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hellman Conference Room, fifth floor; * Mission Bay, 2:30 to 4 p.m., Genentech Hall, second floor.
