AIDS Conference, Migraines on KQED Forum
On Monday, August 21, KQED-FM's Forum with Michael Krasny explored the discussions and issues featured at last week's International AIDS Conference in Toronto. Guests included Nancy Padian, PhD, MPH, and Susan Buchbinder, MD.
Padian is director of the Women's Global Health Imperative, associate director of research for Global Health Sciences, director of international research at the AIDS Research Institute, co-director of the Bixby Center for Reproductive Health Research & Policy, and professor in the Department of Obstetrics, all at UCSF. Buchbinder is associate clinical professor in the Departments of Medicine and Epidemiology, and director of the HIV Research Section, San Francisco Department of Public Health.
On Friday, August 18, guest host Dave Iverson examined the topic of migraines and our changing understanding of the definition, treatment options and scientific research. Guests included UCSF Department of Neurology faculty Andrew Ahn, MD, PhD, and Jerome Goldstein, MD.
