UCSF Stadium Race Finishers to Receive New UCSF T-Shirt
The first 20 UCSF finishers in this Sunday's Stadium to Stadium Run/Walk will receive UCSF logo T-shirts that include the new University tagline, Advancing Health Worldwide. The T-shirts will be sent to the finishers via campus mail once the results have been compiled.
The 5-mile run/walk from Monster Park to AT&T Park, co-sponsored by UCSF Children's Hospital, is intended to increase awareness of health disparities among children in Bayview-Hunters Point, a southeastern section of the city with high rates of infant mortality and asthma and low rates of exercise and healthy eating.
More than 600 runners have already signed up for the race, but runners who still want to participate can register on race day. The race-day entry fee is $30. The UCSF team check-in will start at 7 a.m. at the Mission Bay campus surface parking lot. UCSF participants get free parking and rides to the start of the race.
The racecourse will start at Monster Park and travel to Gilman Avenue; to Arelious Walker Drive; to Carroll Avenue; to 3rd Street; to Mission Rock Street; to Terry Francois Street; to 3rd Street; and will end at AT&T Park. There will be water stops every mile, and free refreshments will be served at AT&T Park.
