Campus to Make Changes to Shuttle Service
Since the inception of the newly revised campus shuttle program on May 1, UCSF Transportation Services has received a lot of input from riders in the campus community.
In light of that input, UCSF is making the following shuttle service improvements that will begin Monday, July 24:
- • The Gray Route (Mission Bay Direct Service) will operate weekdays continuously from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with service every 20 minutes between the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses. Current service operates only during peak morning and afternoon periods. Also, the large blue buses on this route will be replaced, with the exception of one, with UCSF campus shuttles.
- • The Yellow Route (serves Mission Center, 20th & Harrison, 2300 Harrison, Center for Positive Care at 18th St. and 16th St. BART) will be extended to include service to San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH). This will improve connections between these locations and the Parnassus campus.
- • The Purple Route (Mount Zion, Mission Center, 20th, 18th and Harrison Street sites and SFGH) will be discontinued due to lack of riders. This new route has been scarcely used and resources are, therefore, being redirected into a more robust service for the Mission Center corridor via the new extended Yellow Route service.
