Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry will assist teachers at the school at UCSF Children’s Hospital in teaching the critically ill children who attend the school during their hospital stay. She also will meet with patients and their families at the bedside.

Berry was crowned Miss America on January 21, 2006. The 22-year-old is majoring in elementary education at the University of Oklahoma. Her scholastic ambition is to obtain a master’s degree in education and her career ambition is to be an elementary school teacher.
