Google Scholar among Topics at Library Presentation on Jan. 25

The Librarians Association of the University of California and the UCSF Library and Center for Knowledge Management will present two speakers who will talk about how information technology is transforming scholarly research and communication. The talk is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon in the Lange Room, Kalmanovitz Library, 530 Parnassus Ave. on Wednesday, Jan. 25. The presentation is open to the public. Anurag Acharya, technical director, Google Scholar, which provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature, will speak on "Searching Scholarly Literature: A Google Scholar Perspective." Peter Brantley, director of Digital Library Technologies at California Digital Library (CDL), will address "CDL Collaborations in Transforming Online Scholarly Resources."
