UCSF Magazine Wins Gold Medal as Nation's Best
UCSF Magazine, produced by the department of public affairs, has been awarded the gold medal for college and university general interest magazines in a national contest sponsored by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The magazine was the judges' unanimous choice.
Earlier, CASE judges awarded UCSF Magazine a silver medal for periodical writing, the highest prize awarded among the 2004 entries. That prize was shared with the University of Chicago.
UCSF writers whose work contributed to the silver medal include Christopher Vaughan, The Rise of Systems Biology, Jeffrey Norris, Losing Paradise, and Jeff Miller, Grasping Autism.
