UCSF offers "Heart to Heart" seminars for public

UCSF’s Heart and Vascular Center—dedicated to raising awareness of heart disease—is offering public lectures on a range of heart-related health subjects throughout February, which is National Heart Month.

“Heart to Heart Seminars” feature UCSF cardiologists and surgeons speaking on a variety of topics, including prevention of heart disease, congenital heart problems, cardiovascular disease, and treatment options.

Presentations will be noon to 1 p.m. on the UCSF Campus on Parnassus Avenue. All events are free and open to everyone.

* FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4 - “WOMEN AND HEART DISEASE”—Rita Redberg, MD, MSc, director, Women’s Cardiovascular Services. Cole Hall, Medical Sciences Building, 513 Parnassus Avenue.

The UCSF Heart and Vascular Center brings together cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and other specialists to provide the most advanced and effective treatments, many of them developed at UCSF Medical Center. Services range from prevention and screening programs to providing the newest treatments for the most severe and rare heart and vascular problems.
