Pain tolerance comes with age, suggest researchers at the University of Michigan and the University of South Florida. They studied 5,823 adults and found those under age 50 appeared less able to cope with chronic pain and to be more prone to depression associated with chronic pain than those over 50. The study was published in the journal Pain Medicine.
