"Women, Poverty and the Global AIDS epidemic" is focus of International Women's Day briefing on March 8th

The UCSF Women’s Global Health Imperative (WGHI) will sponsor a special briefing on March 8 on the importance of incorporating both economic and educational initiatives for women into efforts to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Taking place on International Women’s Day, the program will feature Nafis Sadik, MD, United Nation’s Secretary General’s Special Envoy on HIV/AIDS in Asia.

The UCSF WGHI is a program of the AIDS Research Institute, the Center for Excellence in Women’s Health, the Center for Reproductive Health Research and Policy and the UCSF Global Health Sciences program.
