Election Day: June 2, 2026

Register by May 18, 2026

In May, San Francisco election offices will mail ballots to all registered San Francisco voters. If you do not receive your ballot, please check that your voter registration is accurate.

Complete, sign and send in your vote-by-mail ballot to make sure your voice is counted. Voters will also have access to secure ballot drop-off boxes and traditional in-person voting. Please check with the San Francisco Department of Elections for in-person voting options and COVID-19 prevention measures such as wearing a mask and social distancing.

  • United States Representative, District 11 or District 15

State Offices

  • Governor
  • Lieutenant Governor
  • Secretary of State
  • Controller
  • Treasurer
  • Attorney General
  • Insurance Commissioner
  • State Superintendent of Public Instruction
  • State Assembly Member, District 17 or District 19
  • Member of the Board of Equalization, District 2

Local Offices

  • Member of the Board of Supervisors, District 2 or District 4 only (remainder of the current term ending January 8, 2027)
  • Judge of the Superior Court, Seat 16
  • Member of the Board of Education, one seat (remainder of the current term ending January 8, 2027)

How do I receive a mailed ballot? 

Check your voter registration and mailing address are up to date so you can receive a mailed ballot by the Voter Registration Deadline: October 20. Check your voter registration here 

Can I vote in person?

Check in with the SF Department of Elections for more information on in-person voting and secure ballot drop-off locations. You can find your polling location here 

Can UCSF employees engage in political activities?

As a 501(c)(3) and a state entity, there are legal restrictions on the types of political activities UCSF employees can engage in on behalf of UCSF. You can find more information about guidelines for political activities at UCSF by watching this short video
