Press Conference at the Gladstone Institutes

Please join Gladstone and UCSF leaders for a Nobel Prize press conference at the Gladstone Institute at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time (PT).

Nobel Prize winner Shinya Yamanaka, MD, PhD, the L.K. Whittier Foundation Investigator in Stem Cell Biology at the UCSF-affiliated Gladstone Institute for Cardiovascular Disease, will join via video conference. Yamanaka is also a professor of anatomy at UCSF and director of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Applications and a principle investigator at the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences at Kyoto University in Japan.

  • Sam Hawgood, MBBS, dean of the UCSF School of Medicine and vice chancellor of medical affairs

The Gladstone Institutes is located in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood at 1650 Owens St. Take 8th Street south from Market Street. Turn left on Brannan Street.
 Turn right on 7th Street.
Turn left on 16th Street.
Go one block and turn left on Owens Street. 
The Gladstone building is on the left at 1650 Owens Street.
 Parking is available at the UCSF Mission Bay Willam J. Rutter Center parking garage is at 1675 Owens St., across from the Gladstone building.
