UCSF Police Seek Information on Suspect in Sexual Assault

Police sketch of suspect

The UCSF Police Department is searching for a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred near the UCSF Parnassus campus on the evening of Friday, April 15, and seeking witnesses who might have information on the assailant.

The assailant is described as a fair-skinned, white adult male. He was approximately 5’7”, thin to medium build, with short brownish/blonde curly hair.

The suspect had several unusual piercings on and around his face, including a distinctive black piercing across the bridge of his nose, piercings on each nostril and one piercing centered directly beneath his lower lip.

He had a slight speech impediment, possibly due to his lower lip piercing or a possible tongue piercing. He was last seen wearing a salmon-colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Lincoln Way and 3rd Avenue and resembles two other assaults that occurred in the same neighborhood that evening, as well as a report by another woman that she was followed by a man of this description.

The San Francisco Police Department responded to the two other reports that evening. The two departments will be working together to establish whether the three incidents are related.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Sgt. Eric Partika, at 476-5174 or 476-1414.
