UCSF's Blackburn featured in SF Chronicle, discussing impact of lifestyle on cell aging

Elizabeth Blackburn, PhD, the Morris Herzstein Professor of Biology and Physiology in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at UCSF, was featured in the special health and fitness issue of the San Francisco Chronicle’s Sunday Magazine on January 4. She discussed the impact of a healthy lifestyle in the context of her decades long research on the chromosome-capping telomeres and the enzyme telomerase, two components of the cell that play a key role in aging.
