Staff Council Sponsors Learn@Lunch Series

The UCSF Staff Council will sponsor a series of lunchtime events specifically targeted to promote leadership among staff. Established on the campus nearly 20 years ago, the UCSF Staff Council seeks to enhance communication among its membership and advise the chancellor and campus administration on matters of concern to its membership. Heather Nichols, senior delegate to the Council of University of California Staff Assemblies (CUCSA), has been involved for five years, and is taking the lead on the UC-wide two-day quarterly meeting taking place on the UCSF campus this year. "We usually have Regents and fairly high-profile leadership who attend the meeting," said Nichols. "Connecting with all the campuses and living the power of 10 gives you a broad perspective of staff issues." The power of 10 refers to taking advantage of the strength of the 10-campus UC system, a term often referred to by UC President Robert Dynes. Here's the schedule of upcoming UCSF Staff Council events: * Monday, Oct. 22: What is the UCSF Staff Council?
