Jared Marsh
Public Information Representative
Jared Marsh is a Public Information Representative on the Public Affairs team, focusing on pediatrics, including the two UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. He began his career as a Health Reporter for the Moral Courage Project, documenting lead water poisoning, which contributed to an award-winning podcast. Jared then became the second employee at a startup nonprofit, coordinating communications and advocacy for a more equitable response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, he worked at a healthcare law firm, leading the communications strategy to advance cancer coverage and research. Jared and his team’s work resulted in expanded breast cancer insurance coverage and has been featured in USA Today, Katie Couric Media, and the Today Show. A recent Bay Area transplant from Ohio, Jared holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Rights Studies and studied Mechanical Engineering for three years.
