UCSF Hosts 24th Annual Faculty and Staff Art Show

Opening Reception is Monday, Oct. 1 in Millberry Union


David Hand's "Elsewhere," a photograph he took this year, is among the works to be exhibited at UCSF 24th Annual Faculty and Staff Art Show, which runs from October 1 through October 4 in the Millberry Union Meeting and Conference Center on the Parnassus campus.

The UCSF community is invited to the 24th Annual Faculty and Staff Art Show from October 1 through October 4 on the UCSF Parnassus campus.

Presented by the Visual Arts Club at UCSF and Campus Life Services' Arts and Events, the show's theme is "My City/My World."

An opening reception will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Millberry Union Meeting and Event Center, 500 Parnassus Ave. The reception will feature music, wine and light refreshments.

Viewing for the show will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2 through Thursday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The art show is free and open to the public. Some works will be on sale.

In addition to the show, three artists will speak about their work during lunchtime talks, beginning at noon. Light refreshments will be served. The schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 2: Julia Kay will talk about digital art
  • Wednesday, Oct. 3: David Hand will talk about cell phone photography
  • Thursday, Oct. 4: Rachel Rodi will talk about mosaics and community art projects
