Nominations Sought for Chancellor's Awards by Jan. 29

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Chancellor’s Award for outstanding University Management, University Service, and Public Service.

All awardees will be recognized at the annual Founders Day Luncheon and their names will join a long list of past awardees honored on the tribute wall in the lobby of the Medical Sciences Building on the Parnassus campus.

The awards are as follows:

University Management

Up to three individuals may be selected to receive this award. Nomination details can be found on the campus website, or by contacting Joanne Fraysse, Office of the Interim Vice Chancellor-Finance and Administration, at 415/476-4285.

University Service

Public Service

This award recognizes members of the campus community who have demonstrated outstanding public service beyond the scope of their normal job duties, research, or training. The award description, selection criteria, nomination forms, and list of prior recipients are available online. Three individuals—one student/resident/postdoctoral scholar, one academic, one staff—will be selected to receive these awards at the annual Founders Day luncheon in the spring.

Please take the time to nominate a deserving colleague. Nominations must be returned to the Chancellor’s Award for Public Service Committee, Box 0402, by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010.
