The fifth annual “Taste for the Cure” will feature a cooking demonstration by renowned vegetarian chef and author Annie Somerville of Greens Restaurant. The event will take place on Sunday, May 16, 2004 from 1 to 5 pm at the Golden Gate Club in the Presidio of San Francisco, near the Lombard Street Gate.
At the event’s educational panel presentations, UCSF faculty will help raise awareness of what is new in the field of breast cancer, with panels on prevention and on new areas of treatment.
Bay Area comedienne Rene Hicks will be the Mistress of Ceremonies. Taste for the Cure is sponsored by The Auxiliary, UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion; UCSF Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center; UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health and UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.
The UCSF Breast Care Center is a multidisciplinary medical practice, specifically designed to provide women with streamlined, specialized breast health services based on an integrative model of care.
