The second-largest employer in the city of San Francisco, UCSF is a $13 billion nonprofit enterprise that supports a mission of advancing health worldwide™ through education, research and patient care. About 65 percent of our revenue – $8.4 billion – comes from clinical services through UCSF Health. Seventeen percent (17%) comes from grants and contracts, with UCSF consistently ranking among the top recipients of biomedical research funding from the National Institutes of Health.
