UCSF Group to Host "Stand with Haiti" Fundraiser Dinner
The Interprofessional Disaster Relief Organizing Committee (IDROC) is hosting a “Stand with Haiti” fundraising dinner on Friday, April 2, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The dinner will be held in the Millberry Gym on the UCSF Parnassus campus.
All members of the campus community are welcome.
The event will feature great food, entertainment (silent auction) and education about the current status of the earthquake-torn country. Speakers will talk about the progress that has been made in Haiti and what still needs to be done. They include:
- Piere Labossiere, Haiti Action Committee
- Michelle Lacourciere, Sirona Cares Foundation and
- Sriram Shamasunder, UCSF Department of Medicine
All money raised will go to Partners In Health in Haiti to support sustainable relief efforts. Reserve a table for 10 people ($400), individual seats ($20 students, $30 faculty/staff/community), suggested donation, but not required.
