Advancing women’s health and well-being requires that each woman be at the center of her health care. From this foundation, UCSF’s many experts have developed an approach to women’s health based on patient choice, leading-edge research and coordinated care among clinicians, provided in welcoming environments.
The year 2010 marks a special anniversary in the study of women's health. Twenty years ago, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) established the Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) to correct a historical imbalance in clinical research.
UCSF is a world-renowned education powerhouse achieving superlative rankings across its Graduate Division and four professional schools of dentistry, medicine, nursing and pharmacy. Excellence in educational training is a core UCSF strategy for advancing women’s health.
