UCSF Calls for Nominations for Exceptional University and Public Service

Awards to Be Presented During Founders Day Festivities

Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, MD, MPH, has asked members of the UCSF community to nominate their colleagues for exceptional work in three areas.

The award presentation will occur at the annual Founders Day Luncheon in the spring where friends, family, and co-workers will be able to join in the celebration.

The award categories are:

Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Service
This award recognizes and rewards outstanding University service by non-academic, non-supervisory staff who go above and beyond the scope of their job and demonstrate outstanding University citizenship in support of and service to the campus community and UCSF mission. Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Management

This award recognizes and rewards outstanding University management by non-academic, supervisory staff who have the responsibility to supervise, guide, and lead others. Chancellor Award for Public Service
This award recognizes individuals at UCSF who have demonstrated outstanding public service beyond the scope of their job, area of research, or training. The eligibility requirements, award criteria, nomination form, and a list of prior recipients are available at http://www.ucsf.edu/chancellor/award-public-service
 
“I encourage you to nominate deserving colleagues to recognize their extraordinary service and leadership efforts which help make UCSF not only an exemplary institution but also a success in its mission to advance health worldwide,” she said.

Up to three individuals for each award may be selected and the names of award recipients will join a long list of past awardees honored on the tribute wall in the lobby of the Medical Sciences Building.
