UCSF Police Host Safety Fair Today and Oct. 13

The UCSF Police Department is hosting the ninth annual safety fairs in September and October as part of National Emergency Preparedness Month and National Crime Prevention Month.

The campus community and the public at large are invited to learn lifesaving tips from UCSF Police officers and to enjoy entertainment during the two upcoming fairs, slated to run on:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Saunders Court at the Parnassus campus and
  • Wednesday, Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Koret Quad at the Mission Bay campus.

This year’s safety fairs will feature music and giveaways.

The fairs provide an opportunity for the UCSF Police Department to reach out to the UCSF community and provide faculty, staff, and students with personal safety tools and information regarding the services provided by the Police Department and other departments and organizations.

Visit the RAD Women’s Basic Self-Defense table to learn more about this dynamic, practical and very popular hands-on program geared for women.  The program teaches risk reduction and crime prevention strategies while providing ample time to practice the techniques.
