Music Therapy Program at UCSF Children's Hospital Featured on KFOG

The music therapy program at UCSF Children’s Hospital is highlighted in a feature story on KFOG-Radio as part of its “Fogfiles” series. The story includes interviews with Gabe Turow, musician-in-residence at UCSF Children’s Hospital, and Helen Busch, a nurse in the hospital’s Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
Launched in May 2008, the music therapy program operates through the Child Life Department at UCSF Children’s Hospital. The program brings music into the hospital, helping kids reduce anxiety and depression related to a medical procedure or an emotionally difficult time.
